Rare Cow Waltham Abbey Opening Night!

A host of stars and celebrities came out to launch the new Rare Cow Steak restaurant in Waltham Abbey on Sunday night. They included world European super featherweight boxing champion Ben Jones, snooker star Peter Ebdon, X-Factor singer Lydia Lucy, TOWIE’s Ricky Rayment and millionaire businessman Toby Von Judge. The popular eatery, in Sun Street, was bought by entrepreneur Alfie Best three weeks ago and was formerly known as Parsons Restaurant.  More than £50,000 was spent renovating the kitchens and it has been re-branded The Rare Cow serving mainly rare breed steak along with sister restaurants in Billericay and Writtle. Tables were full on Friday, Saturday and on Sunday for the official opening which was a star studded affair. Fire eaters entertained VIP guests and the opening party went with a bang. Owner Alfie Best said:”I’m delighted with the reaction from local people. We had a trial “ soft” opening on Friday and Saturday nights and we were completely booked. “I really believe we are offering guests some of the finest steak in the UK.” Boxing ace Ben Jones, who is in full training for another world title fight, said:” It was a great party and I can’t wait to come back. I wish the Rare Cow all the best for the future.”
